Lisa Tukaki

Lisa is a contemporary visual artist based in Tauranga Moana, of Ngāi Te Rangi and Ngāti Ranginui descent. Her work is deeply rooted in Te Ao Māori, drawing inspiration from a culture rich in pūrākau, whakapapa, and wairua.

With a passion for visual expression, Lisa explores colour, texture, and a range of mediums to create works that reflect both personal growth and cultural connection. Her practice embodies a commitment to preserving and evolving the richness of Māori art for future generations.

Her Matariki pieces are a representation of each stars unique significance to wellbeing, the environment and the future.
